耶尔森菌属(Yersinia)现归入肠杆菌科，原系动物感染性疾病的病原菌，人通过接触感染动物或污染食物而患病。耶尔森菌属大致分11种，为鼠疫耶尔森菌(Yersinia pestis)、假结核耶尔森菌(Y.pseudotuberculosis)，小肠结肠炎耶尔森菌(Y.enterocolitica)及中间耶尔森菌 (Y.intermedia)等，前3 种对人类有较强致病性。
